I go by many names… Emma, Mum, Wife, Ems… but my absolute favourite has to be Auntie Em.
For more than 14 years, that's the name I've proudly answered to, and honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. It perfectly sums up who I am and how I care for every animal I meet. To me, your pets aren't "just clients" – they're part of my extended family, and I love every single one as if they were my own.
Whether I'm out on an adventure walk, popping in for a home visit, welcoming guests for home boarding or providing doggy daycare, I believe I'm an extension of your family. Building trust with both you and your pets is at the heart of everything I do.
I take the time to get to know every personality, every little quirk and every favourite game. Over the years I've cared for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, hamsters, tortoises, budgies, bearded dragons... the list goes on! Although I have to admit, I'm still not the biggest fan of anything with eight legs... or no legs at all!
When I'm not spending time with animals, you'll usually find me pottering around the garden. I've been trying my hand at growing my own vegetables, but my real pride and joy is the scented garden I've created over the past couple of years, filled with beautiful roses and fragrant lavender. There's nothing better than sitting back and watching the bees and butterflies enjoying it too.
At home, I'm a proud mum to two grown-up children, wife to my wonderful husband, Ben, and devoted servant to our two elderly cats, Sweep and Titch.
Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. I was lucky enough to share many wonderful years with my three much-loved Basset Hounds—Chester, Hetti and Wilbur. Two of them became regular walking buddies when I first started the business and when the time came to say goodbye to them, I made myself a promise: to become the very best doggy auntie I could possibly be.
Today, that promise is the heart of Auntie Em's Pet Services. Every wagging tail, happy purr, excited greeting and cuddle reminds me why I do what I do. Caring for your pets isn't just my job—it's genuinely my passion, and it's a privilege to be trusted with the animals you love most.
